Victims speak out: Brave survivors break silence on GBV!

Daily Sun created a video encouraging audiences to anonymously share personal GBV experiences, urging Mzansi women to speak against abuse and join the movement to break the silence.

Survivors courageously responded - from childhood sexual abuse to same-sex relationship violence, rape survivors waiting years for justice, and families mourning murdered loved ones, their testimonies reveal Mzansi's brutal reality.

The digital confession that shocked Mzansi

A 26-year-old man allegedly murdered his ex-girlfriend, Kgaugelo Marota (20), stabbing her multiple times at a tavern in Maubane Village, North West, on Thursday, 21 August 2025.

After killing her, he returned home and allegedly stabbed his current girlfriend, also 20, who survived. What shocked Mzansi was his response - the alleged killer went online to post a chilling TikTok confession video that horrified viewers across the country.

The deeply disturbing case highlights both gender-based violence and how social media platforms are being used to broadcast violent crimes.
